Reflection
for April-May 2001
The Essence of Spring
"Blessed are the man
and woman who have grown beyond their greed and have put an end to their
hatred and no longer nourish illusions; But they delight in the ways
things are and keep their hearts open, day and night. They are like
trees planted near flowing rivers which bear fruit when they are
ready. Their leaves will not fall or wither. Everything they
do will succeed."
-1st PSALM
This month's practices:
 | Notice and track the susceptibilities
to greed and the tendency towards holding grudges, resentments,
hatreds, or illusions in your life. These places in our lives
are calling for healing and forgiveness. The season of Spring
invites us to 'mend our lives' and initiate actions that
restore balance and healing in all our relationships.
|
 | Practice "keeping our hearts
open day and night" and "to delight in the ways things
are" for love is stronger than fear, pride, indifference, or the
circumstances presented.
|
 | Plant a tree to sustain the
good, true and beautiful life force in the world |
