ABOUT THE LEADERSHIP
The North Bay program will be led by Trice Bonney, Janet Hughes, Malcolm Berg-Smith and Dan Gronwald. They have all studied with Angeles Arrien, PhD and have found great value in the Four-Fold WayTM (FFW) teachings. They have integrated wisdom practices from the FFW into their lives and have a strong commitment to sharing these valuable teachings with young people.
Trice Bonney, CMT
Has been in private practice in the health field since 1976; doing bodywork, teaching yoga, breathing and meditation. She provides mentoring to youth and adults. She worked for five years in the public schools, assisting in Special Education, and provided leadership in several organizations during her daughter's youth. A volunteer for COTS she works with children and facilitates a Women's Group. She holds a certificate from SSU in Conflict Resolution.
Janet Hughes, D.C.
Is at heart an educator. She has taught in both public and private schools, as well as, at SSU in the Conflict Resolution program. She cofounded a local non-profit organization in 2001 that successfully introduced restorative justice practices with youth offenders. Since 1980, she has served her community as a chiropractor: mentoring patients in good self-care and wholesome living.
Malcolm Berg-Smith, MS
Has worked as a health educator, school counselor, drug and alcohol prevention specialist, and researcher since 1985. He currently has a private practice in San Francisco as a dreams as a trainer, consultant, mentor and health counselor. He conducts workshops throughout the US and internationally in strategies for enhancing intrinsic motivation for positive behavioral change.
Dan Gronwald, CMT, MA
Has been a massage therapist and bodyworker since 2002. He has his Masters in Mythological studies and Depth Psychology and is a PhD candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute writing his dissertation on dreams as personal and private myths. He also works for the non-profit Bread & Roses which brings hope, healing and joy through live music to people isolated in institutions in the San Francisco Bay Area. He conducts workshops on dreams as a tool for self-guidance.
